Hung Fu Electronics Co., Ltd. established in 1977, specializes in the manufacture of flat cables for the electronics and computer industry. Formerly the Hung Shiang Precision machinery Company, the company originally manufactured many kinds electronics components. In 1981, however, the company was reorganized, focusing its business operations exclusively on the production of flat cables. The following two years were a period of research and development for Hung Fu, as it prepared for the formal commencement of production in 1983. Although annual productivity during the early years averaged only 6 million ft., through its continuous efforts in research and development, the upgrading of its production equipment and facilities, the automation of all phase of production, and the enhancement of its quality control program, the annual productivity raised to 9 million ft by 1995. Hung Fu was granted the U.S. UL and Canadian CSA marks for its internationally recognized quality, and now exports many of its products to countries all over the world. Presently employing over 400 people, Hung Fu has annual sales of more than US$40 million. With production facilities occupying an area of approximately 50,000 square meters, the company utilizes fully-automated equipment, including 200 stranding maxhines, 34 extrude production lines Although the company’s average daily output is 60 million ft., productivity of the plant can reach 65 million ft. or more per day. The company produces the following kings of flat cables: 0.635mm, 1.0mm, 1.27mm, 2.54mm, and 3.96mm in pitch; 30AWG, 28AWG, 26AWG, 24AWG, 22AWG, and 18AWG in conductor size. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and copper wire required in the production of flat cables are supplied by our satellite factories under Hung Fu’s instruction to assure consistent quality.
