Transcell Technology, Inc. is a U.S. based manufacturer since 1981. Headquartered in Buffalo Grove, IL, a northwest suburb of Chicago, R&D, warehousing, distribution, assembly and other value added functions transpire. With global distribution in mind, Transcell also has manufacturing facilities in Nanjing, China, Shanghai, China and Taipei, Taiwan. This multi-national diversity allows Transcell to select the strengths from each region in an effort to maximize its customer value and market advantage. Historically, the primary focus of manufacturing has been O.E.M. based. Load cells, industrial scales, postal scales and peripheral products have been the target markets. Recently, Transcell has broadened its manufacturing scope to include the U.S.industrial scale distributor market. In addition, Cita Industries, a new division of Transcell, has been created to expand the O.E.M capabilities outside of scales. This expansion is backed with a skilled design-through-process engineering team, highly trained quality technicians and dedicated production and distribution personnel. Manufacturing capabilities include state-of-the-art CNC machining centers, surface mount equipment, strain gauge manufacturing equipment, plastic injection molding, progressive die stamping, and others. In addition, Transcell has many ties to global procurement to round out its ability to offer great diversity in product development and marketing. Continued success will come from the consistently positive “can-do” attitude that prevails throughout the company.
